We are having another KIDD!!

So on Thursday we found out we will be having another addition to our family...its a funny story...

I was having some leg cramping on Thursday and I called the nurse's hot line when I woke up that morning. The nurse said to go to the ER and get it checked out. Sam had already left for work for the day, Keely need to catch the bus and Weiland had Mom's Day Out. There was no one to drive me so I hurried and called Sam and rushed to get everyone ready for the day so we could drop everyone off for the day. We arrived at the hospital and as I am talking to the nurse at the front desk this lady comes in coughing all over both of us. The nurse asked her to put on a mask and the lady says "I have been coughing for two weeks, I am not sick." The nurse told her that she didn't care if she was sick or not to put the mask on so others wouldn't get sick. (sorry not really relevant but part of my morning.) I get wheeled back to a room and they check out my leg and tell me that they want to do an ultrasound on my leg. I told the nurse I might be pregnant (thinking that may be the reason my leg hurt or something) so she tells me to pee in a cup. At this point I had already taken four tests that came up negative, so I pretty much thought that there was no way I was pregnant. So I pee in a cup!

They wheel me off to get the ultrasound in the bed I am laying in (super embarrassing)!! As she is doing the ultrasound I feel very nauseous (but hey I have been feeling that way for two weeks). The tech leaves to go show the ultrasound results to the radiologist and I look at Sam and say "We should be here for a different kind of ultrasound." He just kinda gives a smirk. So we get back to my room and the nurse comes in and asks me if I need anything for my nausea...I told her no that I was fine and she responds with "Well you better invest in some of those pregnancy lollipops." I was shocked! I had taken four tests over the last couple of days and they were all negative. Sam's reaction was funny.. He was not ready to try for a baby this month and wanted to wait til next month so he said to me " You get everything you want!" and smiled!!

So that's how we found out that number three is on its way...I believe we are due June 10th, 2010!!

So here is my first Blogging experience

So I had my first post all written out and my computer reset. Lame computer. So the reason I am creating my blog is first for my kids, because I am not a journaler...and also for our family and friends. I love reading my families and friends blogs so hopefully you will enjoy ours too. So here goes my first blogging experience.

So the last couple of months have been a whirlwind for us. Sam graduated from Law School and we headed to Kansas for our first JAG assignment with the Air Force. Two weeks after we arrived here Sam found out he had to go to training for 2 months. That left us in a new environment with not really knowing to many people. I was pretty bitter about the fact that we didn't have any friends...Keely was going to be starting Kindergarten and Weiland was going through his terrible twos. Plus on top of that we had to miss out on our family vacation so we could get some stuff unpacked before he left. As you can imagine it was a little difficult for me to swallow.

Well, as I look back on these past couple of months and reflect on the time I had by myself with my kids...I realize how strong of a person I can be when I truly put my mind to it. Despite the couple of weeks of heart palpations, lack of sleep from being in a new house, wishing that I could not be a mother except when my children were sleeping, and missing my husband I wouldn't change the fact that he had to leave. I am stronger because of it and am proud of the things that I accomplished and realize the person that I want to be. To those of you who will or have to do life without a spouse at times..remember that the Lord will help you through anything. You just have to turn to him ,which is sometimes hard, but well worth the effort.

Sam swearing in to the Wisconsin State Bar

Sam swearing in to the Wisconsin State Bar
This was a really neat experience. Sam got to go in front of the Supreme Court Judges and be sworn into the bar. It was kinda intimidating seeing all six judges up there. I would never want to be on trial with those six judges. The court room was awesome with all the beautiful artwork and it was great to see Sam accomplish what he had worked so hard for over the last three years!

Keely's First Day of Kindergarten

Keely's First Day of Kindergarten
Keely has been so ready to go to school since she was 18 months old. She is a brain just like her dad! She was very excited to get into her school clothes and had to have her scarf just so for her first day. She let me drive her the first day but would not let me walk her in. Now she rides the bus to and from school. I can't believe how independent she is. It is very cute to watch Weiland run to her at the end of the driveway and give her a kiss and hug goodbye. They are getting so big it amazes me everyday!! Sometimes its hard to get her to look at the camera. Some of the pics she is focusing on other things. It cracks me up!

My little Picasso

Weiland was painting the other day and decided to have me paint on his body for him...we had a blast! My son is such a perfectionist that if I did not put it symmetrical to the other arm etc. he would get mad. He is such a character!!
